How To Have A Breakthrough - get personal

If you feel like your life is on the fast track to nowhere, it’s time to make a change. It’s often been said that a breakthrough is what happens after you break down. So how do you get from breaking down, to breaking through? You have to change what you believe.

Define your beliefs.

First, take some time to consider what your personal beliefs currently include. How do you view life? What is your take on money? What do you think about your career? All these takes on life form a system of personal beliefs, by which you operate your life.

Figure out what isn’t working for you.

As you get a clear picture of what your personal beliefs are, the next thing you should do is ask yourself if each of those beliefs are working for you. Oh sure, they are all working for you, but is it negative or positive? Are those beliefs helping you advance yourself in life? Do they fuel you towards a productive, contented life?

Discard the rest.

Once you know which beliefs are actually working for your good, it is time to get rid of all the others that are hurting you. For instance, if you have held a belief that you have to struggle for every penny you earn, that is not exactly a healthy personal belief. You need to banish it—forever.

Form new personal beliefs for a personal breakthrough.

Take each of those negative beliefs and reshape them into better ones. If you have held a belief that money is hard to come by, guess what? It will be difficult to attain! Turn that belief around, until you can trust that everything you need will come to you as you need it. That doesn’t necessarily mean you will have all the money in the world. It just means that instead of believing it is difficult for you to earn money, you will know that you have everything you need.

Personal breakthroughs are often about changing your perception. When you can change the way you think about something, the likelihood of you becoming a more positive person will increase, and with it will come a personal breakthrough. You will become more insightful as you start to look for more opportunities to change your personal belief system.

Totally agree!! It's all about self-definition. Nothing changes until the self is redefined.
